  • IndiaGlitz, [Saturday,July 22 2006]

On the day of release of the movie “The Killer”, the serial kisser, Emraan Hashmi was there in town to promote his movie. Well, it seems like when Emraan Hashmi present in a movie, the movie is bound to be sensational, starting from ‘Murder’, then ‘Zeher’, ‘Aashiq Banaaya Aapne’, ‘Chocolate’, ‘Aksar’, ‘Kalyug’, ‘Jawani Diwani’, ‘Gangster’ and now “The Killer”. The movie “The Killer” is produced by Mukesh Bhatt, directed by Hasnain.S. Hyderabadwala & Raksha Mistry under the banner of Vishesh Films.

Talking about his role in the movie the actor said that he plays the role of a young guy “Nikhil Joshi” who has gone to Dubai and has a dream of becoming a rich man. However, he is a taxi driver in Dubai, and is madly in love with a girl Ria. So smitten is he, that he is willing to do anything for his great love. However life had plans something else for him. Irffan Khan who plays the role of Vikram hails the cab, who had his own plans, Vikram holds Joshi hostage in a bizarre plot to bump off various people who would identify against the dreaded don Jabbar, who is at risk of being deported to India to face charges against him. Nikhil being the helpless witness to one killing after another he finds his life and dreams crumbling around him. How Nikhil fights to be out from this situation is what The Killer is all about.

Commenting about the USP of the movie the wanted actor said “many good works are coming together, what I feel audience will like the best in the movie, will be the dialogues and the chemistry between the hero and the killer. He said the movie The Killer is what everybody can relate to. His upcoming movies will be Good Boy Bad Boy, Train, Awarapan and few more which have not been titled yet. The reason for his continuous hits Emraan said “It’s my inner instinct to choose a movie and the next factor is about the convincing power of the director.” The guy restricts the cinema till the sets; he never takes back cinema to his home.

The aspiring hero is always looking for some different roles, as he hates doing typical righteous hero who in the end wins all the game and takes away the heroine happily. The words like Commitment, marriage, stability are words that don’t really exist in the dictionary of ‘serial kisser’ image that actor Emraan Hashmi has. But it’s not surprising as the man who has a smooching image on screen has actually been in a serious relationship with longtime girlfriend and will be tying the knot in December.
